Skyworth Selects Tuxera for Fully Interoperable, High Performance PVR Functionality
Delivers Improved Usability and Support for External Storages to Record and Playback High Definition Video
HELSINKI, FINLAND – <August 09, 2011> – Tuxera Inc., the leading provider of Windows-compatible file systems for Linux, Android, Mac and other platforms, today announced that Skyworth, a leading Chinese TV and set-top box manufacturer, has chosen Tuxera’s file system solution to achieve fully interoperable, high-performance personal video recorder (PVR) functionality across its devices.
“We selected Tuxera’s file system solution for its superior performance, rock solid reliability and easy-to-deploy architecture,” said Xiaohui Wang, General Manager of R&D Department at Skyworth. “With Tuxera’s solution we can address the top three requirements our customers have today: large high-definition video files, support for all external storages via USB, and quick, responsive usability.”
Tuxera brings multi-channel high-definition recording and playback capability over USB and other connectors to any Windows and Mac formatted external storage including memory sticks and HDDs. Highest possible performance and short mount times result in increased usability. Furthermore, Tuxera solutions bring with them uncompromising reliability: integrated check disk and verifying tools provide immunity and built-in repair functionality against corruptions, even after an unexpected system failure.
“We are very pleased to provide Tuxera’s flagship file system solutions to Skyworth, a well-known innovator and leader in the Shenzhen’s vibrant technology landscape. This is partly the result of Tuxera’s hard work together with the silicon providers to integrate and optimize the solutions for rapid deployment, which is essential for the highest level of support,” noted Mikko Välimäki, Tuxera CEO.
