Tuxera Powers Verismo Networks’ VuNow Internet TV Platform
NTFS Quickly Becoming Standard in Next-Generation Set-Top Boxes
HELSINKI, FINLAND: Tuxera Ltd and Verismo Networks Inc have signed a new long term licensing agreement. Tuxera provides Verismo with the high-performance and low-resource use Tuxera NTFS file system technology that empowers Verismo’s VuNow Internet TV platform.
Tuxera CEO Mikko Välimäki notes: “We are currently experiencing an increasing number of set-top box manufacturers replacing FAT32 with NTFS. Next-generation TV platform innovators like Verismo Networks are in the forefront of this change. I am happy to continue our collaboration with a new long-term agreement that brings benefits to both companies.”
“VuNow provides consumers with the broadest possible access to Internet video content directly on the TV,” said Vijay Maheshwari, CTO and Co-Founder of Verismo Networks. “With Tuxera’s interoperable, field-tested file system inside, consumers can easily access the content from their home PCs and USB.”
