Helsinki, Finland – November 20, 2013 – Tuxera Inc. develops and sells file systems and other software products especially to device manufacturers around the world. For example, Samsung, LGE and Lenovo are among the customers of Tuxera. Also the leading car manufacturers like Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen Group use Tuxera’s products in their latest navigation and entertainment systems. The company’s most recent product is the Android application Streambels, with which users can playback music, pictures and videos wirelessly in any television and audio receiver.

At the moment, Tuxera employs approximately 30 professionals in Helsinki and over 40 worldwide. The company has recently moved into new premises at Nokia’s former research center in Ruoholahti, Helsinki, and it is constantly on the lookout for new experts to product development and sales.

According to top Finnish credit rating agency Asiakastieto’s analysis, Tuxera’s turnover multiplied ten times in the past three years. The opportunities for growth are good also in the future, because the turnover is entirely originated by exports. Tuxera has obtained the best possible credit rating AAA from Suomen Asiakastieto.

Company certified as Strongest in Finland is a safe trading partner

The 18 Strongest Companies of Provinces and the Strongest Company in Finland 2013 to be announced later represent the SME sector, i.e. their turnover is in the range of 2 – 50 million euros. Companies, whose Rating Alfa classification is AAA or AA+, can become the Strongest Companies of Provinces. These companies can obtain from Suomen Asiakastieto Oy the Strongest in Finland certificate, which helps in expressing that the company is a safe trading partner.

Companies that have obtained the strongest classifications have excellent financial key ratios, and their payment behavior is positive. Those companies that have been among the strongest at least three years in a row have the opportunity to obtain the so-called Platinum Certificate.

This is already the seventh time Suomen Asiakastieto Oy awards the Strongest Companies of Provinces and the Strongest Company in Finland. The companies awarded in the years 2007 – 2012 are still in a very good condition financially.

Uusimaa has the second biggest number of strong companies

Of the 115 000 rated companies in Uusimaa, 13.6 per cent are strong according to Asiakastieto, i.e. their classification is AAA or AA+. The share is the second highest of the provinces, the highest number, 14.3 per cent, being found in Ostrobothnia. According to the classifications, companies in Uusimaa are in a far better condition than Finnish companies on average.

Of the municipalities in Uusimaa, the share of strong companies is over 15 per cent in Kauniainen and Espoo, and over 14 per cent in Helsinki, Vantaa and Kerava. The other municipalities are well behind these.
