Help With Installation of Trial Version
When I install Tuxera for Mac, Trial Version shows that trial period has expired. I installed Tuxera several weeks ago, but never tested it, and uninstalled it within a few days.
I really need the trial version for testing ASAP. I copied files to a Seagate Barracuda ST2000DL003 2 TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - SATA/600 - 5900 rpm - 64 MB Buffer in an external enclosure connected with USB 2.0 to my PowerMac G5 Dual 2.0Ghz with Mac OS X 10.5.8 using Paragon NTFS for Mac driver to write to the drive.
The files copied fine, can be read fine, and I thought everything was fine. But now I cannot copy files larger than 4 GB from the drive to my desktop, another HFS drive (internal slave drive or external drive), or to my desktop. I get an error message - "Sorry the operation could not be completed because of an unexpected error occurred. Error code -50"
I tried NTFS for Mac v.8 instead of latest v.9, but v. 8 does not read the drive at all. It titles the drive with Asian characters, creates folders and subfolders and UNIX files and does not display any of my file content. When I switch back to v.9, the Asian files/folders are still there, but my folders/files are also visible.
I uninstalled NTFS for Mac v.8 and installed MacFuse, but it only displayed the Asian characters, folders, subfolders and UNIX files the same as NTFS for Mac v.8 did.
With Paragon NTFS for Mac v.9, I could copy any file under 4GB from the external NTFS drive. At one point, some large GB files were not showing full size as original and would hang at the displayed size (MB) when copying. I would have to relaunch the finder to get copying to quit. After continual trying to copy, shutting down and restarting the drive, the files started displaying full size, however, after uninstalling v.8 and subsequently, installing/uninstalling MacFuse, and reinstalling v.9, I now have random files again displaying smaller file size than original, MB instead of GB.
Paragon claims they cannot reproduce the "problem", so I need to find another NTFS for Mac driver that works.
Can you please provide me with a trial version of Tuxera that is not expired for my IP/PowerMac?
