Help! I cannot write to my external HD that is now NTFS

 Help! I cannot write to my external HD that is now NTFS Hi, prior to dropping my external hard drive today, I was able to read and write to the HD (Fantom Drive- 1TB). When I originally formatted the drive, I chose NTFS-3G (MacFuse) so that I can read/write with a MAC and a PC. During the drop, I was in processing of transferring data from my MAC OS X 10.5.7 to the external drive. After the drop, I noticed that I could no longer write to the drive but can still read all the data from the drive, and when reading the INFO about the drive, it changed to NTFS with only read permission. I tried installing the latest NTFS-3G_2009.4.4 but it didn't seem to change my permissions. What am I doing wrong?? Can some one please help? I am getting super frustrated! Thanks!!
