I am a newbie at using Mac. I bought this machine last year in August. It is an OS X 10.7.4. Now I want to manage files and folders on my external hard drives.

I installed FUSE for OS X and uninstalled it because I didn't know how to use it. Then I installed NTFS-3G. When I restarted and inserted the USB into the socket, the following error message showed up: (please note, Ella, Whats in the box is the label of the HDD)



Please help!

I want to bump this because I'm getting exactly the same error, and am also a Mac newbie. All help would be gratefully appreciated!

If I disable NTFS-3G, I can see th external HD in Finder again, read only.
