Post FUSE kernel module.
im trying to follow the install install instructions for ntfs-3g si iand nothing works . whats the following mean and how do i do it

Make sure you have the basic development tools and the kernel includes the FUSE kernel module. Then type:

Ntfs-3g is available basically for all distros out of the box or using the distro's package manager. Please use that one.

i've just loaded ubuntu 7.10 on my pc, as i cant seem to get access to my maxtor 100 gb external hard drive (ntfs) i've tried downloading ntfs-3g
but have had no luck with the install instructions (/.configure etc
im new at this so any help wold be appreciated
