My movie files I keep on my ntfs partition. With the old ntfs-3g driver I didn't have a problem. Now that I installed fuse 2.6.1 and ntfs-3g (latest) from source videos are coming if might slowly (i'm not saying that installing from source is the root of the problem). Sound is fine, but the video is lagging a great deal, sometimes more than 200 seconds delay, for the entire length of the film. I have fiddled with some of xine's and kaffeine's settings to no avail. I think this is a ntfs-3g issue. My computer doesn't have the shiniest and newest specifications, but I know it plays movies better than this!
Can anybody help?

the most CPU time?

This doesn't look to be ntfs-3g problem at all. It's not even on the list
of CPU users.

Some people reportad ALSA problems which they first believed was due to
ntfs-3g. But when they replace ALSA to the OSS sound driver then their
problems went away. Maybe you have the same or similar issue.

It is currently set to auto-detect. I'll change it to OSS and see what happens.
